SOUTHBRIDGE: William E. Jacques Jr., age 78, of Worcester Street, passed away on September 26 at Bay State Hospital.
He is predeceased his beloved wife, Frances (Leo) Jacques, who passed away on March 18, 2017 William is survived by three sons: Paul Jacques Southbridge, Andrew Jacques his wife Christine of Wales, and Jacques. He also leaves behind a sister, Paula Torrez of Leicester, as well as six cherished grandchildren.
Born in Worcester, William was the son of William E. Sr. and Dorothy (Laime) Jacques. He was a lifelong resident of the area, well known for his active participation in the community. William was a dedicated member of St. Joseph Church in Charlton, and he played an integral role in the Knights of Columbus DeTreana Council #199 and the Moose Lodge of Worcester.
William graduated from Worcester Vocational High School in 1964. As a professional truck driver, he worked for T.I. Logistics and was previously employed by Son's Transportation and Long Haul.
A true sports enthusiast, William also cherished his dog Nicky and found immense joy in spending time with his grandchildren.
His funeral was held privately.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to St. Jude’s Research Hospital, P.O. 1999, Memphis, TN 38101.
