Auburn: William Black Jr., 52, of Sunrise Ave. Auburn, died Saturday, Dec. 10th in his
home after an illness. He leaves his wife of twenty one years Janice (Alonzo) Black, three
sons Joshua Black of Auburn; Christopher Black of Webster; Shayn Black of Auburn; a
daughter Shoshana Black of Auburn; his mother Aldea (Peloquin) Black of Sturbridge; a
stepdaughter Amy Harrison of Kentucky; a brother Guy Black of Hollywood, Fl.; two
sisters Nancy Gingras of Union, Ct., Tammy Breault of Thompson, Ct., two grandchildren
Lillian Black, Alex Harrison and a nephew Jonathan Breault. He was born in Southbridge
the son of the late William Black and lived in the area many before moving to Auburn in
1990.
He graduated from Tantasqua Regional High School and then served in the Navy during
the Vietnam War.
He worked for the Norton Company in Worcester for twenty seven years and retired due to
illness. While at Norton Co. he received his engineering license. He designed and built his
own home in Auburn. He earned a double Black Belt in karate. He enjoyed landscaping,
gardening and diesel engine technology.
Calling hours are SIX to EIGHT PM, Thursday, Dec. 15th in the Belanger-Bullard Funeral
