STURBRIDGE: Wayne Raymond Sr, 77, of Park Circle, died Wednesday, May 1, in his home after being stricken ill.
He leaves his wife of 44 years Lorraine (Chenier) Raymond 2 sons Wayne Raymond Jr, and his fiancée Dawn Strum of Southbridge, Robert Raymond of Southbridge, 2 daughters Tina Raymond of FL, Melissa McDonald and her husband Korey of Holland, 3 grandchildren William Fife Jr, Tiffany Robinson Gaige McDonald and 1 great grandson Masin Guzmam.
He was predeceased by his brothers Merrill, Ronald and Glenn.
He was born in Swanton, VT, the son of the late Joseph and Eliza (Norris) Raymond and lived in the area most of his life.
He retired from Regip Construction where he was a heavy equipment operator. He was also a truck driver for California Fruit Co. in Southbridge for many years.
He was a member of the American Legion in Sturbridge and the VFW in Southbridge where he was a member of it's Drill Team.
He enjoyed fishing, Red Sox but most of all he enjoyed his children and grandchildren.
His funeral services will be held at 8:00PM, Friday, May 3, in the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy St. Southbridge. Calling hours are 6:00PM to 8:00PM before the service. Burial will be private in Notre Dame Cemetery.
