SOUTHBRIDGE: Wayne H. Morse, 88, of North Woodstock Rd., died Wednesday, Nov, 6 at his home after an illness.
His wife Eleanor P. (French) Morse died in 2009.
He leaves a son Randy Morse of Southbridge, a brother Marvin Morse of Southbridge and several nephews and nieces who he cherished. He was predeceased by a brother Gradon Morse and a sister Evelyn McClennan.
Born in Southbridge he was the son of the late H. Potter and Rena (Angel) Morse and lived here all his life.
Wayne retired from Brookfield Machine Co.
With his wife Eleanor and son Randy he helped start and run Morse Farm Stand in Southbridge.
For 40 years he called western style square dancing and was voted to the Square Dance Hall of Fame in Manchester, NH. He was an avid Boston sports fan.
His true passion was his family and helping with the family business.
A private graveside will be held in the Morse Neighborhood Cemetery in Southbridge.
