STURBRIDGE: Virginia (Hosmer) Wetteland, 84, formerly of Sturbridge, died, Wednesday, June 21st at Wing Memorial Hospital in Palmer. She leaves a son, Carl Wettland, of Dublin, GA, three daughters, Margarett Ann Harmon of Stockton, CA, Sandy Smith, of Riverview, FL, and Sonja Cooper, of Sturbridge, 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son Howard Mooney who died in 1997.
She was born in Sturbridge the daughter of Delbert and Sarah (Carroll) Hosmer. She lived many years in Sturbridge, Florida and Kentucky. She retired from the American Optical, and worked as a waitress in area restaurants. She enjoyed her family and gardening. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, June 23, at North Cemetery in Sturbridge. Memorial contributors may be made to the charity of ones choice. There are no calling hours.
