Southbridge – Victor Marrero, 67, of Hill St., died Friday, April 9 at Harrington Memorial Hospital, after a long illness. He leaves his wife, Milagros (Matos) Marrero, of Southbridge; three sons, Victor Marrero, of Chicago, Jose E. Marrero and Jean Carlos Marrero, both of Bristol, CT; one daughter, Iris Victoria Marrero, of Bristol, CT; one grandson, Ronald J. Collazo; many brothers, sisters, nephews, and nieces.
He was born in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico, the son of Joaquin and Josefina (Quinones) Marrero, and lived in Southbridge for many years. He was employed as a musician and was a member of the Heal the Wound Church in Dudley.
A funeral service will be held at 10am, Tuesday, April 13, in the Heal the Wound Church, 44 Southbridge Rd., Dudley. Calling hours will be 5 – 8pm, Monday, April 12, in the Heal the Wound Church.
