She was predeceased by her husband Theadore R. Vilandre in 1996. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren Narissa Tremblay, Brian Arcoite Jr., Brett Arcoite, Nathan Russo, Liam Arcoite, Morgan Laliberte, Timothy Robinson, Jessica Leblanc, and several great-grandchildren.
Born in Southbridge to John and Jeanette (Demaris) Soloman, Sylvia resided in Southbridge until the passing of her husband Teddy. She then made her home at Park Circle in Sturbridge.
Sylvia was a well-known and cherished figure among her park friends. She was often spotted cruising around in her purple golf cart. She devotedly organized the Thursday night pitch league and occasionally indulged in Bingo games. She particularly enjoyed dining out with her children and friends.
Throughout her life, Sylvia exuded warmth and touched the hearts of many individuals she encountered. Her infectious smile would illuminate when she spent time with any of her grandchildren.
Having worked for many years in the retail sector starting at the Fair and retiring from Wal-Mart, Sylvia dedicated herself to hard work and service.
In the last year her health declined, Sylvia moved in with her daughter Tammy who provided exceptional and compassionate care. Surrounded by her family, Sylvia peacefully passed away in her sleep.
