Stephen Bird

WORCESTER: Stephen R. Bird, 61, of Belmont Street died Wednesday, October 14 in Tufts Medical Center in Boston after being stricken ill.

Stephen leaves his son Jason Bird of Worcester, two daughters: Britney and Amy Bird both of Worcester, a sister Belinda and her wife Brenda of Spencer, two grandchildren: Leanna Jean Rodriguez and Nathaniel Xavier Matos.  He was predeceased by his daughter Courtney Lee Bird in 2010. 

Stephen was born on November 23, 1953 in Worcester, the son of John and Dorothy (Booth) Bird Sr.  He graduated from South High School and served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.  Stephen enjoyed fishing, carpentry, darts, painting and travel.

Burial will be in the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam, MA 01001 on Tuesday, October 27 at 2 P.M.
