Stella Anderson

SOUTHBRIDGE:  Stella (White) Anderson, 99, of Charlton Street died Wednesday, December 7, 2016 in Southbridge Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.

 

Stella is survived by her daughters: Susan Chaplin and her husband Charles of Southbridge and Gloria Curboy of Charlton, her son-in-law Charles Morse of Sturbridge, fourteen grandchildren, thirty-one great-grandchildren and many great-great grandchildren.

 

Stella was predeceased by her husband, Earl Anderson in 1985, her daughter: Caroline Morse, son: Earl Anderson Jr, son-in law Nat Curboy of Charlton and Pauline (Cote) Anderson of CT, and brothers: Edward White and Theophile Leblanc.

 

Stella was born on June 25, 1917 in Southbridge, MA the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Caroline (Guertin) White.  She lived in the area all her life.

 

Stella was a known caregiver, especially having great joy while spending time caring for babies.  She was a member of the Elm Street Congregational Church in Southbridge, enjoyed scrapbooking and most of all enjoyed time spent with her family.

 

A calling hours will be held on Friday, December 9^th from 9:00-10:00 A.M. in the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy Street, Southbridge, MA 01550.

 

A Funeral Service will follow on Friday, December 9^th at 10:00 A.M. in the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home.

 

Procession to Oak Ride Cemetery, Oak Ridge Avenue, Southbridge, MA will follow the conclusion of the funeral service.

 

The family wishes to express their thanks to the caring, supportive staff of Southbridge Healthcare for their nine years of care they provided to Stella.
