SOUTHBRIDGE: Sebastian Penaloza, 25, of Elm Street, died May 7th.
He leaves his mother Pamela Villarroel of Southbridge, his father Jorge Penaloza of Chile, 3 sisters Macarena Penaloza of Chile, Maria Jose Penaloza of Peru, Laurita Penaloza of Chile, maternal grandmother Lina Jorquera and paternal grandmother Maria Chavez both of Chile, niece Matilda Vera of Peru, nephew Galeano Montenegro of Chile.
Sebastian attended the following Universities, Morehead State University, Keiser University in 2016, Nicholas College in 2018 and Cardinal Stritch University for Sports Management and where was a coach assistant.
In his two seasons at Morehead State, Sebastian played primarily #2 singles and #2 doubles. He accumulated 24 total wins while going 6-2 in Ohio Valley Conference play last season. Sebastian also claimed the B Flight title in the 2015 River Forest Collegiate Invitational in Chicago last fall.
His ITF ranking reached as high as #99 in the world and led team Chile in the World 16 and under cup to an eighth-place finish.

He attended Notre Dame Church of the St. John Paul II Parishes.
Sebastian biggest passion in life was Tennis. He enjoyed listening to music. He was an outgoing person and loved to meet new people. Sebastian loved going to the beaches and parties with his friends and family. He also had a special affection for cats.
Due to the current virus situation his services were private.
