Russell E Dupont

CHARLTON: Russell E. Dupont, aged 81, of Charlton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at Overlook. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Linda (Packer) Dupont, who passed on March 1, 2022.

Russ is survived by his son, John Dorman of Springfield along with his wonderful daughter in law, Melissa and his step-daughter, Risa Britton of North Salem, NY. He was a proud grandfather to five grandchildren: Mitchell, Joshua, Julia, Nathaniel, and Emma Leigh. 

Born in Manchester, NH, Russ was the son of the late Ernest and Rita (Bisson) Dupont. He dedicated many years of his professional life to Pratt Whitney Company, working in the Engineering Change Department until his retirement.

A valued member of the East Hartford Elks, Russ also held affiliations with the Masonic community. He found great joy in various pursuits, including golfing, boating, skiing, fishing, and RV traveling across the United States. His interests extended to range shooting and bow and arrow hunting, reflecting his love for the outdoors. Affectionately known as Russey Baby, he was always known for lending a helping hand, finding a way to make someone smile when they needed it most or simply compassionately listening to someone. His heart and zest for life were immeasurable.
