SOUTHBRIDGE/DAYTON, NY ; Ronald L. Blais, 63, of Dayton, NY, formerly of Southbridge, died Thursday, August 5, in Buffalo General Hospital, Buffalo, NY, after an illness. He leaves a son and daughter-in-law and two granddaughters, William J. Blais, and his wife, Kelly, and their children Sarah and Samantha, of Tolland, CT; one daughter, Mary Angel Blais; a brother, Kenneth R. Blais, and his wife, Gail, of Thompson, CT; two sisters, Jo-Ann Martin, of North Providence, RI, and Pamela King, and her partner, Eric, of Chepachet, RI; 3 step-brothers, Jeff Carr, and his wife, Lois, of Thompson, CT, Dennis Carr, and his wife, Charlene, of Dudley, and Bruce Carr, and his wife, Valerie, of Thompson, CT; 3 step-sisters, Sandra Leboeuf, and her husband, Paul, of Thompson, CT, Debra Likes, and her husband, Cody, of Dudley, and Jeanie Christian, and her husband, Paul, of Charlton; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one step-brother, Greg Carr. He was born in Southbridge, the son of the late Joseph N. and Mary Angel (Goulet) Blais, and lived in the area most of his life, before moving to New York. He graduated from Southbridge High School, class of 1966. He was passionate about music and worked as a musician, playing in many local bands. He was an avid songwriter, and at one point, started a Personal Song Service. He also enjoyed performing in musicals, and played the role of \"Judas\" in Jesus Christ Super Star. A Celebration of Life will be held from 11:00AM to 1:00PM, Saturday, August 14 in the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy St., Southbridge.
