Roberto Cruz

SOUTHBRIDGE – Roberto Cruz, 59, of 14 Overland St., died Tuesday, December 14, 2010.  He leaves his wife of 16 years, Linda Baker Cruz;  five children, Kitty Cruz of Fitchburg, Lisa Cruz of South Carolina, Katherine Cruz of Amherst, Brenda Cruz of Southbridge, and Roberto Cruz, Jr. of Southbridge; 2 step-daughters, 11 grandchildren; several brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

He was born in Caguas, Puerto Rico, the son of the late Justino Cruz and Maximina (Morales) Correra.  He was employed as an independent concrete construction worker for many years.  He enjoyed softball, gardening, music, and cooking.

Roberto has embarked on his new journey and will always be remembered and loved by all who knew him.

A funeral service will be held at 7:30pm on Thursday, December 16, in the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy St., Southbridge.  Calling hours will be held prior to the service, from 4:30 to 7:30pm, in the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary’s Church, 263 Hamilton St., Southbridge, MA 01550.  An online guestbook and video tribute is available at www.BelangerFuneralHome.com.
