Robert Croke
August 24, 1963 — January 1, 2007
HOLLAND: Robert E. Croke, 43 of 172 Sturbridge Rd. Holland was called home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 1, 2007. Bob died at home surrounded by his loving family after a courageous 2 ½ year battle with cancer. Bob was an inspiration to all who knew and loved him and will always be remembered for his powerful witness as a man of great faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Bob leaves his beloved wife of 24 years Christine M. (Corriveau) who faithfully cared for Bob never leaving his side during his illness. Bob was the loving father of three children, Alysha L. Dannielle L. and Robert E. Croke Jr. He also leaves his parents Dorothy H. (Smith) and Ronald E. Croke of Holland, one sister Laurie E. Kennedy of Holland and many other family members including in-laws, nephews and nieces, and great nephews and nieces.
Bob was a faithful and beloved member of the Congregational Church of Holland. Bob was active in many ministries at Holland Church but his passion was for short-term missions. Bob traveled with the Holland Church Missions Team to Haiti, Spain, France and Montana serving the Lord and reaching out to all with the truth of the Gospel.
Bob was a 1981 graduate of the Tantasqua Regional Vocational High School and was employed for the last thirteen years by Johnson Tool of Charlton as a machinist. Bob served his country in the US Navy for 3 years.
Calling hours will be 4:00PM to 8:00PM Friday, January 5th, at the Belanger Bullard Funeral Home 51 Marcy St. in Southbridge. Funeral services will be at 9:00AM on Saturday Jan. 6th, in the Tantasqua Regional High School auditorium (Rt.148) Sturbridge. Burial will follow at Holland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Bobâ??s memory to the Robert E. Croke Childrenâ??s Fund, C/O Southbridge Credit Union, PO BOX 307, Fiskdale, Ma. 01518.
