Sturbridge: Robert H. Boucher, 81, of Arnold Road died Wednesday, July 19th in Southbridge Rehab and Healthcare Center after an illness.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Gail (Vickers) Boucher; a son Kevin Boucher and his wife Sandy of Southbridge; 3 brothers James Boucher of Southbridge, Richard Boucher of PA; Ronald Pierce of Leicester; a sister Leotaine Mitchell of Southbridge; 7 grandchildren Justin Boucher of Southbridge, Jason Sims and April Burns of Holland, Christopher Black and his wife Christine of Barre, Matthew Boucher serving un The US Army, Jamielee Boucher of Southbridge, Kristy Davis of ware, Jolene Jalbert and her husband J.J. of Sturbridge, 12 great grandchildren Nolan Boucher of Southbridge, Cole Jalbert of Sturbridge, Max Jalbert of Sturbridge Aeris Boucher of Southbridge, Madison McCluskey, Alexia Pagnomi of West Brookfield, Lily Black of Barre Reily of Barre, God Children Richard Tilton of Brimfield, Brittany Cox of Warren, Melody Halstrom of Holland, a special aunt Lucille Martel of Sturbridge and several nephews and nieces.
He was predeceased by his son Keith Robert Boucher who died in 1983, a sister Carol Rasissen.
Bob was born on November 1, 1935 in Southbridge, the son of the late Harvey and Vivian (Daugnault) Boucher.
Bob served in the U.S. Marine Corps. From 1953-1961, serving in the Korean War.
Bob drove for anchor Motor Freight for many years before. He was a member the American Legion in Sturbridge and the Southbridge VFW.
He enjoyed golfing and playing cards.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 24th at 10:00 A.M. in the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy Street, Southbridge, MA 01550. Burial with military honors will follow in North Cemetery, Maple Street, Sturbridge.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, July 23rd from 3:00 - 5:00 P.M. in the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy Street, Southbridge, MA.
