Rita Worth

SOUTHBRIDGE – Rita (O’Neil) Worth, 82, of Williams St., died Wednesday, May 18, at UMass Memorial Hospital. Her husband, Russell W. Worth, died in 2008. She leaves three sons, Brian Worth, and his wife, Carol, of Southbridge, Alan Worth, and his wife, Julia, of Weymouth, and Edward Worth, of Southbridge; two sisters, Alice Hill, of Northborough, and Beverly Dean, of Carson City, NV; 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Her daughter, Janis Worth, died in 2007.
She was born in Quincy, the daughter of the late John J. and Luanda (Cain) O’Neil, and grew up in Quincy. She graduated from Quincy High School, class of 1947.
Rita worked as an office manager for the Southbridge News, and also worked part-time for Shaw’s. She enjoyed shopping, puzzles, knitting, crocheting, and reading.
Calling hours will be held from 6:00 – 9:00PM, Monday, May 23, in the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy St., Southbridge. Burial will be at a later date in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
