Southbridge: Rita (Blute) Brown, 85, died Wednesday Aug. 30th, in Radius Healthcare of Southbridge. Her husband Howard E. Brown Sr. died many years ago. She leaves her daughter-in-law Nancy Brown of Sturbridge, her grandson Scott and his wife Mary Beth Brown of Southbridge her granddaughter Kimberly Calcutt her husband James and their son Tyler of Sturbridge. She was predeceased by her son <.>Howard E. Brown Jr. died Dec. 23, 2001 and her brother Paul Blute. She graduated from Mary E. Wells High School. She retired from the American Optical Company where she worked for forty three years. She belonged to the firmâ??s Quarter Century Club. A private graveside service will be held in North Cemetery, Sturbridge. Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home 51 Marcy St. Southbridge is directing arrangements.
