HOLLAND – Richard T. Satkowski, 60, of Holland, died Saturday, November 22, at home. He leaves his wife of 33 years, Lucie (St. Laurent) Satkowski; a son, Phillip Satkowski, of Holland; two daughters, Laura and Krysta Satkowski, of Holland; a sister, Lynn Pariseau, of Westfield; his father, Ted Satkowski, of Stafford Springs, CT; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was born and raised in Stafford Springs, CT, the son of the late Lorraine C. (Goryl) Satkowski. Rick graduated from Monson Academy in 1966, and earned his Master of Arts degree in History from the University of New Hampshire. He later earned his Masters in Divinity from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
A bold proclaimer of God’s Word, Rick was a dedicated pastor for over 23 years; first at Christ Baptist Church in Worcester, and, later, at Emmanuel Baptist Church in West Springfield. He was also involved in Racing for Jesus Ministry, a pursuit which combined two of his greatest passions. In addition to pastoring, Rick worked in education, insurance, and most recently, social services.
