STURBRIDGE - Reginald S. Russ, 89, of Park Circle, died on Saturday, October 22, in Radius Healthcare Center in Southbridge, after a long illness. His wife, Barbara (Morse) Russ died in January of 2008. He leaves three sons, Wayne, and his wife, Ann Russ, of Tofte, Minnesota, Mark, and his wife, Jeannie Russ, of Brighton, Michigan, and Neil, and his wife Jennie Russ, of Union, CT; one sister, Ruth Olsen, of Quaddic, CT; 4 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
He was born in Thompson, CT, the son of the late Bert W. and Ethel (Sheldon) Russ, and grew up in the area, graduating from Thompson High School. He served in the United States Army during WWII. He worked for Contramatics in East Hartford. He was a member of the Sturbridge Federated Church. He enjoyed tinkering and working in the machine shop.
Calling hours will be held from 2pm to 4pm, Sunday, October 25, in the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy St., Southbridge, with a reception to follow at the Sturbridge Host Inn, Route 20, Sturbridge.
