Southbridge: Ramiro Perez, 67, of Charlton Street, died Wednesday, May 24 at Harrington Hospital. He leaves his daughter Annex Perez and his son Richard Perez both of Southbridge, his wife Mercedtia Collazo, 7 grandchildren 5 great-grandchildren 5 sisters Rosa Perez of Puerto Ricco, Ruth Perez of Maryland, Raquel Perez of Maryland, Riselis Perez of Florida, Monique Perez of Pennsylvania, 2 brothers Radams Perez of Puerto Rico, Mizrain Gonzalez of Worcester. He was predeceased by his son Ramon Perez who died in 2012, 3 brothers Edwin, Gonzalez, Hector Gonzalez, Nelson Gonzalez, Norma Gonzalez and Maricelis Gonzalez. Born in Las Piedras, Pierto Rico he was the son of the late Tomas and Carmen (Hernandez) Perez and lived in the area many years. He retired from the American Optical Co. where he worked over 25 years. He also was a carpenter who enjoyed fine woodwork. At his request funeral services will be private. A celebration of his life will be held at 2:00PM Sunday, June 18 at Marquis, 61 Chestnut Street, Southbridge, MA Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home,51 Marcy St. Southbridge is directing arrangements.
