Rachel Lashua

SOUTHBRIDGE/WORCESTER  – Rachel A. Lashua, 28, of Main St., Southbridge, formerly of Worcester, died suddenly on Monday May 2, 2011.  She leaves her mother, Debra S. (Lehto) Lashua, of Dayville, CT; four brothers, Douglas W.Lashua JR, of Worcester , Steven M. Lashua, of Southbridge, Christopher F.Lashua  & Zachary A.Lashua, both of Dayville, CT ; her longtime companion, Fred Peck, and her grandfather, plus many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Her father, Douglas W. Lashua SR, predeceased her in June 2009

She was born in Worcester, and grew up in the area, attending the Worcester Public Schools.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and nieces and nephews.  Rachel and her mom shared a special bond, and could always be seen doing things together.  They both especially enjoyed the walks and private moments that they shared.  Rachel had a special connection with her 2nd cousin, “Ella”. Rachel loved children, and loved to take care of them.  They were her world and she enjoyed every moment she shared with them.  She will be remembered as having a heart of gold and always doing for others.

A celebration of life will be held , on Friday, May 13, from NOON to 4:00PM in Worcester Lodge of Elks, 233 Mill St. Worcester, MA. 01602
