SOUTHBRIDGE: Orlando E. Colon, Jr., 40, of Plimpton Street. passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January, 29th in Rhode Island from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
He is survived by his long-time companion, Maribel Aviles; three daughters: Jaelynn and Isabel Colon, both of Southbridge and Vanessa Nina of Worcester; his parents: Orlando Colon Sr. and Carmen Colon-Suarez, both of Southbridge: his sisters: Maria Colon of Sturbridge, Maria Aquino, Wendy, Carmen and Juanita Colon, all of Southbridge; his God son Nathan Cotto of Southbridge; his three life-long best friends: Roger Madore, Manuel “Virao” Hidalgo and John Lopez; and many, many nieces and nephews.
Orlando was born on November 29, 1976 in Fajardo, Puerto Rico. He worked as a package handler for UPS. He enjoyed watching television, especially the Patriots, Red Sox, and Celtics. He especially enjoyed time spent fishing.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 4th at 12:00 P.M. in the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy Street, Southbridge, MA 01550.
Calling hours will be held prior to the service from 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. in the Belanger-Bullard Home.
