Olive Nixon

July 9, 1940 — June 18, 2015

ââ?¬â?¹HOLLAND: Olive J. (Mason) Nixon, 74 of Union Rd., died Thursday, June 18 at Southbridge Nursing and Rehabilitation after an illness. 
She leaves her husband of 35 years Lowell Nixon, a daughter Lydia Mason of Southbridge, a granddaughter Elicia Wright, a brother Ruben "Benny" Mason of Dayton, OH.,  2 sisters Faye Blackcloud of Burgeon, NY., and Nancy Caballero of Rockport, NY. 

She was born in Menlopark, CA., the daughter of the late Richard and Grace (Ellsworth) Mason and lived in the area Holland area many years.

Olive graduated from Union Spring Academy, Atlantic Union College and Wildwood Hospital Missionary School. After graduated from wildwood she stayed on at a teacher for 8 years.

Olive did missionary work in Guatemala where she contracted malaria. Her work continued here doing community service out-reach programs. 
She enjoyed her family and Bible Study classes. 

A graveside service will be held at 1:00PM Tuesday, June 23, in Holland Cemetery, in Holland. 

There are no calling hours.
Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy St. is directing arrangements.
