WEBSTER/NORTH GROSVENORDALE: Norman E. Naum 69, formerly of North Grosvenordale, Ct. and Webster, MA died after a lengthy illness on August 8, 2007.
He leaves his sisters, Kathryn Peters of Southbridge, Mass and Louise Guillot and her husband Laurent of North Grosvenordale, CT, nephews and nieces Eliot Peters, Susan Peters, Andrea Cronin and her husband John, Gregory Guillot and his wife Joelle, Jeffrey Guillot, Tara Salvas and many great nephews and nieces.
He was born Sept. 24, 1937 in North Grosvenordale, CT. the son of the late Erakli and Thomaidha (Ghorg) Naum. He graduated from Tourtellote High School and served two years in the US Army. He then attended and graduated from Willimantic State Teachers college. He was a teacher at Mary E. Wells Middle School in Southbridge, MA for 33 years and retired in 1997.
He was a former partner in Naum Realty. He was a past member of the Thompson Board of Education and active in local politics while living in Thompson, CT.
He enjoyed traveling to Europe especially Greece and also enjoyed flower gardening.
He is predeceased by his parents and a brother William Naum, who died July 2, 2007.
He is a member of St. Nicholas Albanian Orthodox Church in Southbridge.
His funeral will be held Saturday, August 11, at 10:00AM from the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home 51 Marcy St. Southbridge followed with a service at 11:00AM in St. Nicholas Albanian Orthodox Church, Morris St. Southbridge. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday, Aug. 10, 6:00PM to 9:00PM in the funeral home.
