Norma Boniface
August 20, 1923 — July 27, 2011
STURBRIDGE – Norma (Gardner) Boniface, 87, of Shepard Rd., died in Radius Healthcare Center on Wednesday, July 27. She leaves her husband of 59 years, John Boniface; her children, Linda Misiaszek, of Southbridge, and Gary Boniface, of Holland; a granddaughter, Jacquelyn Misiaszek, of Southbridge; nieces and nephews. Her brothers, Elmer “Tug” Gardner and Richard Gardner predeceased her.
She was born in Palmer, the daughter of the late Elmer R. and Vera (Webber) Gardner, and was a lifelong resident of Sturbridge. She graduated from the Mary E. Wells High School, class of 1941. Mrs. Boniface worked for the American Optical Co. as its Chief Inspector for 12 years. She taught Sunday School at, and was a member of, the Federated Church of Sturbridge and Fiskdale, and was also a Cub Scout Den Mother for Pack #137. She enjoyed spending time with her family, dachshunds, and her cat, Maggie.
A graveside service will be held at 11AM, Thursday, August 4, in North Cemetery, Maple St., Sturbridge. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Second Chance Animal Shelter, P.O.
