Nazra B. Gagner

Nazra B. Gagner, 57, of Masonic Home Road, passed away on Monday, March 25, at St. Vincent Hospital after bravely battling illness. She was a beloved wife of 37 years to Paul Gagner and a devoted mother to her two daughters, Shabana Gagner of Charlton and Sareena Wassmer and her husband Michael of Holland. She also leaves behind her stepson Matthew Gagner and his wife of Charlton, stepdaughter Tammie Gagner and husband Larry Meade of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, cherished brothers - Mohammed Yusuf, Mohamad Hanif, Mohammed Ishak, Mohammad Yakub - and sisters Hasia Waring, Joura Shedd, Hazra Ali, Shira Mohamed Her legacy further includes grandchildren Tyler, Taylor, Arianna, Viya, and Vaughan.

Originally from Lomolomo Fiji and born to the late Abbu Bakar and Khadija (Bi) Bakar, Nazra made the United States her home for many years following her education at Fiji National University where she earned her associate degree. Alongside her husband Paul, she was a proud owner of the Charlton Laundromat and several apartment buildings.

She was a member of the Worcester Islamic Center, in Worcester

Nazra's warm presence illuminated every corner of her neighborhood as she strolled through it or tended to her gardens. Her home was a sanctuary for numerous family gatherings, joyful celebrations with friends, holidays filled with love, and meals shared together.

A funeral service honoring Nazra's life will take place on Friday, March 29 at 11AM in the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home located at 51 Marcy St., Southbridge. Prior to the service from 9:30 to 11AM, friends and family are invited for calling hours. The burial will follow at West Ridge Cemetery on Main Street in Charlton.
