STURBRIDGE: Nancy A. “Belle” (Arsenault) Jolin, 83, of Sturbridge passed away on Saturday May 21, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was pre-deceased by her husband, Joseph Jolin, in December 16, 2018.
She is survived by her children; Victor and his wife Kathy of Maryland; Bill and his wife Laura of Georgia; Rebecca of Southbridge; Brian and his wife Madelyn of Southbridge; Pam and her husband Terry of Southbridge; Veronica of Florida; her sister Lorraine Therrien; 11 grandchildren: Jason, Brina, Bill, Alia, Claudia, Amanda, Iliana, Garrett, Samantha, Danielle, and Nicholas; and 7 great grandchildren: Matthew, Aiden, Elliott, Victoria, Henry, Braeden, and Elizabeth Belle.
She was predeceased by her step-grandson Nicholas, her unofficially adopted son, Bryan LeBlanc, her brother Roland “Sonny” Arsenault, and two sisters, Jane Stanhope and Betty Lou Atkinson.
She was a member of the Central Baptist Church, and belonged to The Women’s Fellowship and the church finance committee.
Nancy obtained her GED in 1980. She worked in the cafeteria in Tantasqua High School and also worked as a private housekeeper. She did volunteer work at Harrington Hospital doing children's tours and at the YMCA working with disabled children. She was a real-estate agent in the local area prior to her retirement. In her 60s and 70s she took up karate and rollerblading until her kids took her roller blades away.
Some of her hobbies included rollerblading, painting, tapdancing, and going on long mystery rides with her grandchildren. She played softball at Henry Street field, and helped start the Lassie League in Sturbridge and coached the Eagles for years.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday May 25th at 12PM in Central Baptist Church, Main St. Southbridge, followed by a burial at North Cemetery, Maple St. Sturbridge, MA.
Belanger Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy St. Southbridge is directing arrangements.
