Mildred Tucker

August 20, 1938 — January 23, 2013

SOUTHBRIDGE: Mildred A. Tucker, of 51 Columbus Avenue Southbridge. After giving so much to our family during her life, it was time for God to call and welcome Mildred Home, to comfort and heal the angel He sent to our family. On Wednesday morning, January 23, 2013, she ended her battle and entered through the pearly gates to her Heavenly Home. Mildred Jean (Albrecht) Tucker was born August 20, 1938 to Herman and Elizabeth (Yoskovitch) Albrecht, both deceased, in Waterbury, CT. She grew up and lived most of her adult years in Woodstock Valley, CT, after a brief start in Southbridge, MA, where she met and married Claude Richard Tucker, Jr., who predeceased her, May 2012. They had both worked at the AO in 1957, marrying in June, 1958. After multiple moves, they finally settled back in Southbridge, where they have lived out their remaining 36 years. Mildred was always open, honest and straightforward. Her deep faith in God gave her the will and courage to battle the cancer her body was diseased with. She was a woman of conviction, teaching us to live by example, which we all admired and respected her for. She was a loving and devoted wife to her husband; a loving and adoring mother to her three surviving children: Richard Tucker of Southbridge, MA, Lisa Forlino and her husband, of Danielson, CT, and Stephanie Daniels and her husband, of Plainfield, CT. She cherished her six grandchildren: Jennifer Tucker and Sherri Holmes, who both spent five special years living with their Omie, Justin and Erich Robidas, Brendan Sullivan, and Anna-Lise Forlino. Mildred was also blessed with eight great-grandchildren. She was a woman of many talents; she loved to sew, shop for fabric, cook and bake, read and write, knit and grow plants. She will be greatly missed and thought of everyday by her loved ones. We wish to thank the congregation of Full Gospel and Pastor Mike Rondeau for all the prayers, food, and visits made to mom before her passing. It was a thoughtful gesture and greatly appreciated. ~~ The Tucker Children.  Her funeral will be held at NOON, Tuesday, Jan. 29, in the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy St. Southbridge. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery. Calling hours are 5:00PM to 7:00PM on Monday, Jan. 28, in the funeral home.
