Mildred Nelson

STURBRIDGE - Mildred B. (Barrett) Nelson, 100, of Mashapaug Road, died Tuesday, April 4th, at Radius Health Care Center in Southbridge. Her husband, Edward Nelson, died in 1989. She leaves a son, Robert K. Nelson, of Easton, PA; two grandchildren, Kathy Latham of Nazareth, PA, and Mark Nelson, of West Chester, PA; and four great grandchildren. She was born in Eastford, CT, the daughter of Walter and Cora (Beecher) Barrett. She graduated from Mary E. Wells High School, in Southbridge. She did private duty domestic work for the McClauren family. She was a member of the Central Baptist Church in Southbridge, the Sturbridge Senior Center, and the Southbridge Grange. Her funeral will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, April 6th in the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy St., Southbridge. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Southbridge.
