Southbridge: Matthew S. Bessette, 29, of Rose St., died Tuesday April 15, 2014 at home. He leaves his parents, Barry and Louise (Starkweather) Bessette; three brothers, Barry Bessette, Jr. and Lynus Bessette, both of Southbridge, and Ronald Paquette of Agawam; one sister, Jennifer Shocik of Southbridge; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Matthew was involved with the Center of Hope for many years. He was a well-liked, happy-go-lucky fellow who really enjoyed life. He had a wonderful laugh, and enjoyed the companionship of his many friends. He had a special fondness for children, who always seemed to make him smile. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.
His funeral Mass will be held at NOON, Thursday, April 24, in St. Mary’s Church, Hamilton St. Southbridge.
A calling hour will be held from 10:30-11:30 AM, Thursday, April 24, in the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy Street, Southbridge. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Southbridge.
