Marjorie M. (Lowell) DiPaola
August 16th 1922 - May 28th 2005
STURBRIDGE: Marjorie M. (Lowell) DiPaola passed away on Saturday, May 28 after a long illness. Mrs.DiPaola was married 51 years to Domenic G DiPaola, who predeceased her in March 2004
The daughter of Mabel and John Lowell she was raised in Southbridge, Mass and lived in Holland and Sturbridge most of her life. Margie graduated from the former St. Mary' s High School in Southbridge and retired from the American Optical Corporation where she worked for 37 years.
Her daughter wrote: " My mother' s strength, fortitude and humor were an inspiration to those around her. She lived her life with integrity. She was loved deeply and will be greatly missed....My mother is at peace with her heavenly family."
Mrs. DiPaola was predeceased by her two sisters Edith Dugas and Bessie Latendress, both formerly of Southbridge.
She is survived by her daughter and caregiver, Donna M Boulanger of Sturbridge, a son Salvatore DiPaola of Punta Gorda, FL and another daughter Jacqueline Champagne of Spencer. She leaves three grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Marjorie was loved and respected by her Godson Lee Latendresse of Beauport Quebec her nieces Joan Fournier of Southbridge and Diane Clifton of Petaluma CA and nephews Donald Dugas of Southbridge and Richard Dugas of Smithfield, RI
She had great affection for her cats and is remembered as always having one at her side. The door to her home and bountiful table was always open and inviting to all.
Family and close friends are welcomed to the Belanger- Bullard Funeral Home 51 Marcy Street, Southbridge on FRIDAY, June 3rd from SIX to EIGHT PM.
A Celebration of Life Mass will be held on Saturday, JUNE 4th at: TEN AM in St Mary' s Church, Hamilton St. Burial next to her husband will be private.
