Marilyn Wassmer

STURBRIDGE: Marilyn (Vickers) Wassmer, 84 of Fiskdale, passed away on March 10, peacefully in her home with her family by her side.
She was the wife of the late Ronald Wassmer who died July 19,2001.
She leaves behind her son Ronald “Bum” Wassmer Jr. and his wife Liz of Brookfield; 3 daughters Debbie DiGregorio and her late husband Dana of Holland, Donna Evans and her husband Duncan of Holland, Melody Helveston and her late husband Russell of Holland; Her sister Gail Boucher of Sturbridge, Grandchildren Jessica Forcier, Duncan Evans Jr., Nick DiGregorio, Dustin Evans, Dana Lee Mallon, Jay Wassmer, Kara Wassmer, Jennifer Helveston, Mikey Wassmer, Jaclyn Helveston, Tiffany Wassmer, 19 Great-Grandchildren and several Nephews and Nieces.
Marilyn was born in Southbridge daughter of the late Charles Vickers, and Gertrude (Laveille) Vickers. She is predeceased by her 3 sisters Sandra Bastien, Sharon Lapanse, and Darlene Tilton.
Marilyn worked for several years as a housekeeper for hotels throughout the local area. She later worked at American Optical.
She loved to dance, work on puzzles, and was an avid reader. She was known in her family as the family historian.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, March 14th from 2:00pm-4:00pm, at the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy St. Southbridge, MA.
Her funeral service will be Monday March 15, at 10:00am, in the Belanger- Bullard Funeral Home
