Marilyn St George

STURBRIDGE: Marilyn (Gates) St George, 85, passed away peacefully at her home on May 19, 2021.

She leaves behind her loving husband of 63 years Clarence St George of Sturbridge; her daughter Rebecca St George of Sturbridge; son Timothy St George and his wife Dianna of Grafton; 3 grandchildren Ashley, Billy, Joshua; and 2 great-grandchildren Avriana, and Mason.

Marilyn was born in Holden, MA daughter to the late Wendall Gates and Alice (Harrington) Gates. She was predeceased by her brother Westley Gates.

Marilyn was the first graduation class in 1953 in the new school in Holden, MA. She married her husband Clarence on October 19, 1957, and they lived in Boylston before moving to Sturbridge where they have been living for over 20 years.

Marilyn worked for Valetone Cleaners for 30 years pressing clothes. Her favorite pastime was knitting. Marilyn will be missed dearly by all her family and friends.
