No. Oxford; Marilyn (Hansen) McIntire, 71, of Leicester St. died Friday, Jan. 20th in her home after a battle with lung cancer. Her former husband, Herbert McIntire, died in 1993. A son, Herbert S. McIntire, died in 1979. She leaves three sons: James P. McIntire and Robert McIntire, both of Charlton; and John McIntire of Worcester; a daughter, Diane Leal of Scottsdale, AZ; two brothers, Paul Hansen of Worcester and Leonard Hansen of Oxford; three sisters, Pauline Merriam of Leicester, and Carol Hehir and June Solomon, both of Worcester; eight grandchildren, and one great-grandson. She was predeceased by one brother, William Hansen; and three sisters: Marie Richardson, Corinne Kleczka, and Joan Young.
" Pat," as her friends and family knew her, lived life to its fullest. She loved gardening, McCloud (her Bubba' ), her children and grandchildren the most. She was happiest when helping others and spending time with her family. She was the guiding force of the family, and will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved her.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, January 24th in the Bellanger-Bullard funeral home, 51 Marcy St., Southbridge. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in Charlton. Calling hours are 5:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, January 23rd in the funeral home.
