Marie St. Onge

SOUTHBRIDGE – Marie R. (Bozzo) St. Onge, 77, of Therese Ave., died on Friday, January 23, 2009, in Brooklin, Maine.  Her husband of 54 years, Eugene L. St. Onge, died in October of 2005.  She leaves one son, Paul St. Onge, and his wife, Cheryl, of Southbridge; one daughter, Diana Freethey, and her husband, Richard, of Brooklin, ME; 4 grandchildren, Matthew and Danielle St. Onge, of Southbridge, Ethan Freethey, of Brooklin, ME, and Miranda Collins, of Churchton, MD; three sisters, Adeline Perry, and her husband, Emanuel, of Southbridge, Louise Presutti, and her husband, Albert, of Sturbridge, and Joanne Ricciardone, and her husband, Angelo, of Sarasota, FL; 2 brothers, Robert Bozzo, and his wife, Ruth, of Tolland, CT, and Richard Bozzo, of Sarasota, FL; many nieces and nephews.

She was born on January 22, 1932, in Cambridge, MA, the daughter of the late August and Anna (Devincenzo) Bozzo, and lived in Southbridge for most of her life.  Mrs. St. Onge graduated from Mary E. Wells High School, and worked for the American Optical Company as an inspector, retiring after 25 years of service. 

Mrs. St. Onge loved to travel, visiting 48 of the 50 states in the country.  She also traveled outside the country.  She enjoyed camping, hiking, and going to plays.

Calling hours will be 10am to noon, Saturday, January 31, 2009, in the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy St., Southbridge.  A burial will take place at a later date.  Donations may be made to Hospice of Hancock County, 14 McKenzie Ave., Ellsworth, ME 04605.
