Marie C. Lamica

SOUTHBRIDGE:  Marie (Dashnaw) Lamica, 74, of Guelphwood Road, died Friday, January 20^th at Harrington Hospital.  

She leaves her husband William Zachara; son Matthew J. Lamica and his wife Gina of Southbridge; daughter Michelle Gerstal of Southbridge; step-son John Zachara of Port St. Lucy, FL; step-daughter April Zachara of Southbridge; brothers Charles Dashnaw and his wife Barbara of Charlton, Merton Dashnaw and his wife Carol of Southbridge, Donald Dashnaw and his wife Linda of Southbridge; 2 sisters Sandy Inzerillo and her husband Tony of Barre, Linda Fredette of Southbridge; 7 grandchildren Joshua, Mariah, Taylor, Hannah, Domenic, Joey, Faith and 3 great grandchildren Tristan, Justin, Adrian. She loved her dog “Max”.

She was predeceased by her son Justin and her sister Brenda Leighton and her by her first husband Wade F. Lamica.

Marie was born in Malone, NY, the daughter of the late Willard and Leola Caroline (Lamica) Dashnaw and lived in Southbridge area most of her life.

She graduated from Southbridge High School.

Marie was a transport dispatcher for Harrington Hospital and retired in 2009 after 25 years of service. At one time she worked for   Dexter Russell for several years.

She enjoyed playing Bingo, making puzzles, arts & crafts, but most of all she enjoyed time with her family.

Calling hours are 5 to 7PM, Thursday, January 26^th, in The Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy St, Southbridge. A service will follow at 7PM.
