SOUTHBRIDGE: Margaret L. (Birch) Benoit 93, of North Woodstock Road, died Saturday in her home after being stricken ill. Her husband Lawrence G. Benoit died Jan. 9, 1990.
She leaves 3 sons Lawrence J. Benoit of Southbridge, Scott B Benoit of Southbridge, Bruce G. Benoit of Brimfield, a daughter Sandra Provost of Southbridge, 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by 3 brothers Richard Birch, Clarence Birch, Billy Birch and 3 sisters Dorothy Cudworth, Mary Haipen, Janice Lamoureux.
She was born in Deep Water, NJ, the daughter of Elmer and Viva (Whidden) Birch and lived in the area many years.
Margaret was a member of The Elm Street Congregational Church and its Women’s Fellowship. She enjoyed flower gardening and baking for the family.
A graveside service will be held at 11:AM, Wednesday September 20, in Oak Ridge Cemetery (off of Everett St) Southbridge.
Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy St. Southbridge is directing arrangements.
