UXBRIDGE: Margaret "Peggy" Barron, 89, formerly of Snowling Rd died Monday March 14, at Milford Hospital.
Her husband of 29 years, Dr. William Barron, died in 1981.
She leaves 2 sons, William Barron of Douglas, James Barron of Whitinsville, 7daughters, Margaret Stockwell of Whitinsville, Mary Landry of Uxbridge, Elizabeth Barron of Uxbridge, Eleanor Caccavelli of Uxbridge, Cynthia Barron of Uxbridge, Patricia Bishop of Uxbridge and Eileen Shelton of Maryland; several grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, one nephew, one niece and cousins.
Born in Providence, the daughter of William and Roseanne (Fay) Holmes and lived in Uxbridge many years.
Peggy was a nursing supervisor and retired in 2000, completing her career at the Woonsocket Health Center.
She graduated in 1948 from the 5 year Pembroke (Brown) program at Rhode Island Hospital School of Nursing.
Peg loved to shop, travel, going to the casino, the beach and especially spending time with her family.
The family would like to thank the staff at St. Camillus Health Center, as well as Milford Regional Hospital for their compassionate care.
The funeral Mass will be held at 10 am on Friday March 18 in St Mary's Church, 77 Mendon Street, Uxbridge. Please go directly to the Church.
Calling hours are Thursday March 17, 4-7 pm in the Buma Funeral Home 101 N. Main St., Uxbridge.
