SOUTHBRIDGE: Luz J. Gonzalez, 50, of Middletown, Ohio, formally of Southbridge, passed away on January 27, 2022, at the Blue Ash Hospice Center.
Luz leaves her husband Daniel Gonzalez of OH; daughters Amethyst Rafaat of OH, and Danielle Gonzalez of OH; a sister Ramona Figueroa of OH; brothers Charles Figueroa of Southbridge, and David Figueroa of Southbridge; last survived aunt Zaida Peña and two grandchildren.
Luz was born in Brooklyn, NY daughter to the late Ramon Figueroa and Carmen (Pena) Figueroa.
She worked as a Dental Assistant and also did IT support for a few years. Mostly remained a stay-at-home mom to her two daughters.
Luz was a resident of Southbridge for 20+ years where she enjoyed playing BINGO, going to Mohegan Sun, and trying her luck at scratch tickets. She went by the nick name “Jeannie”.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday February 10th from 6-9 PM in the Funeral Home.
Calling hours will be held on Friday February 11th at 10AM in the Belanger Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy St. Southbridge, burial will follow in New Notre Dame Cemetery, Woodstock Rd./ Rt.169, Southbridge.
