SOUTHBRIDGE: On June 9th, 2010 Lucy Nuckle age 105 has completed her life on earth. She was pre-deceased by all 14 of her siblings and their spouses. She is survived by her daughter Dolores Kosciusko and husband Peter, her son Perry Nuckle and wife Diane, nine grand children, many great grand children and one great great grandson Donovan Robbins. Born in Nova Scotia in 1904, Lucy arrived in Southbridge at age 7 with her family via Stagecoach. She witnessed the change over from horses to cars, trains to planes, radios to TVs, natural healing to doctor assisted healing right into the introduction of computers and ipads. She was an avid Red Sox Fan, rode her bicycle until age 90 several miles a day, loved to bowl, was an excellent ice skater, and rarely missed going to softball games at Henry Street field. Her zest for life and great spirit-of-being enabled her to enjoy her life and remain lucid for all 105 years. She made many great friends along the way. She always had a positive outlook and upbeat comment for any occasion. She is now free and has been looking forward to reuniting with her parents and birth family. We will miss her but we’re happy for her.
There will be no calling hours (as per her request). In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cystic Fibrosis research Massachusetts/Rhode Island, Chapter220 North Main Street, Suite 104 Natick, MA, 01760
