SOUTHBRIDGE: Lucille A. McKinstry, 99, of Therese Ave, died July 19, after being stricken ill. Her husband Philip H. McKinstry died July 13, 2000.
She leaves 2 sons Russell H. Mckinstry of West Yarmouth; Ronald p. McKinstry and his wife Karen of Wilton, NH, 2 daughters Diana Frost of Acton; Marilyn P. Carroll and her husband Alex of Panama City, Florida, 8 grandsons, 3 granddaughters, 16 great grand children, many nephews, nieces and her sister-in-law Lorraine Reno of Franklin.
She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters Lillian Brown, Irene Hufault, Yvonne Gadoury, Georgette Bourdelias, Odette McLaughlin, Richard Reno, Charles “Mike” Reno,
She was born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada the daughter of Peter and Diana (Bastien) Reno and lived in the area many years.
She graduated from Sacred Heart and St. Mary’s Parochial schools in Southbridge and resided here until moving to New Haven, CT. and returning here in 1978.
She worked as an executive secretary at Botwinik Bros, in New Haven, CT.
At 99 years of age she was still keeping her own home. Mrs. McKinstry would have turned 100 years of age on August 20, 2014.
She had a passion for crafts and sewing.
Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, July 23, from the Belanger-Bullard funeral Home, 51 Marcy St. Southbridge, followed with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM, in St. John Paul II, Parish (Notre Dame) 446 Main St. Southbridge. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
A calling hour will be held from 9 to 10:30 AM in the funeral home prior to the Mass.
