Louise L. Meltaus
Louise L. (Tremblay) Meltaus 87 of 29 Westwood Parkway Southbridge died Monday December 10 at Harrington Memorial Hospital Southbridge. Born in Southbridge she was the daughter of William and Josephine (Maynard) Tremblay. Louise was the wife of the late George E. Meltaus who died in 1983. She leaves one son John A Meltaus of Weston Ma and one daughter Mary Meltaus, her husband Josiah Slack and 4 children Alina, Katya, Elise and Ethan. Louise was the youngest of 14 children and is survived by one brother Raymond Tremblay of Orlando Fl. Louise also leaves many nieces, nephews and cousins. Louise was an active member of St Maryâ??s Church in Southbridge, and the Southbridge Womenâ??s Club. At the age of 76 Louise received her Batchelorâ??s degree in English from Worcester State College. She loved to travel and was very active with the Talking Book Library of Worcester. Calling hours for Louise will be on Friday from 4-7pm at the Belanger Bullard Funeral Home 51 Marcy St Southbridge. A funeral Mass will be held at 12:30 pm on Saturday December 15th at St Maryâ??s Church 236 Hamilton St. Southbridge. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
