SOUTHBRIDGE: Lorraine D. Farland, 98, died Wednesday, August 3, 2016 in Southbridge Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center after an illness.
Lorraine is survived by her cousin Anita Archambault of Southbridge and her dear friend Cynthia Bachand of Southbridge.
Lorraine was born on March 19, 1918 in Southbridge to the late Adei and Bernadette (Gouin) Farland. Her brother, Normand Farland, predeceased her in 1998.
Lorraine graduated from Catholic High School and went to work for American Optical, where she was a secretary until her retirement. She enjoyed needlepoint and word searches. She was a member of Notre Dame Parish, Southbridge, MA.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, August 8 at 11:00 A.M. in Notre Dame Parish, 446 Main Street, Southbridge, MA 01550.
Calling hours for Lorraine will be held Monday August 8 from 9:30-10:30 A.M. in the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy Street, Southbridge, MA 01550.
Burial will follow in New Notre Dame Cemetery, Woodstock Road, Southbridge, MA.
