SOUTHBRIDGE - Lita M. (Persico) Szolusha-Powers, 87, of Pompton Lakes, NJ, formerly of Orlando, Fl. And Southbridge, died October 24th. Her first husband, Stanley F. Szolusha, died in 1974. Her second husband, Robert H. Powers, died in 1998. She leaves a son, Stanley A. Szolusha of Pompton Lakes, NJ, five grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. She was born in Southbridge, the daughter of Emelia (St. Martin) and Anthony Persico. She moved to Orlando, FL and graduated from Orlando Sr. High. She moved back to Southbridge and worked as a secretary for the Manufacturers and Merchants Association of Southbridge, and also worked for many years at the American Optical Co. She retired to Orlando, FL in 1980, where she lived until 2004, at which time she moved in with her son and family in New Jersey until her death. She was a member of the St. Maryâ??s Church of Pompton Lakes, NJ, a member of the Senior Fitness Club, a member of the Chapter 2518 AARP, and belonged to the American Optical Quarter Century Club. Her hobby was oil painting, which she loved to do. Her funeral was held on Ocober 30, in the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home 51 Marcy St. Southbridge.
