STURBRIDGE: Lisa M. (Rethinger) Glasheen, 44, of Fairview Park Rd. died Friday, September 28, 2012 at home surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle against recurrent breast cancer.

She is survived by her husband of 21 years John Glasheen, a daughter Savanna, a son Logan, her parents Diane Rethinger of North Olmsted, OH and Paul Rethinger of Tigard, OR, her sister Andrea Rethinger of North Olmsted, OH, her brother Jonathan Rethinger of Aurora, CO, other family and many friends.

 Lisa graduated from West Linn High School in West Linn, Oregon, Portland State University in Portland, Oregon, and earned her Masters degree in Social Work at Boston College. 

Lisa worked at UMASS Medical Center for 12 years, where she was a Transplant and Emergency Department Social Worker.

She enjoyed traveling with her family, scrapbooking, as well as photography. Lisa also enjoyed the theater. She was a member of the Stageloft Repertory Theater in Sturbridge appearing in several productions there.

 A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, October 14 at Alhambra Knights of Columbus (44 Circuit Avenue, Worcester, MA). 

In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to the Humane Society of the United States or the Glasheen Family Fund at Hometown Bank, Main St. Sturbridge, MA.01566
