Linda Broughton

MAINE - Linda Broughton, 60, of Kennebunk, Maine died on December 8th at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston after a long fight with cancer.

She is survived by her parents, Louis and Mildred (Edwards) Broughton of Southbridge; three brothers, William Broughton, Richard Broughton, and his wife Robin, all of Sturbridge, and Robert Broughton, and his wife Marie, of Southbridge; several nieces and a nephew. In addition, friends, Cindy and Guy Blais of Maine, (who loved her as their sister) mourn her death too.

She was a recipient of an Associate Degree from Endicott Jr. College and a Bachelor of Education Degree from Worcester State College.

Linda spent several years as an elementary school teacher in Maine and New Hampshire. Later she was employed by The Sabre Division of American Air Lines.

She took great pride in cultivating her flower garden at her Kennebunk condominium. She also enjoyed walking on the beach with her little dog "Bunkee" whom she loved dearly.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, December 12th, in the Elm Street Congregational Church, Elm St., Southbridge, MA.  A second Memorial Service will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday, December 19th, in the South Congregational Church, 2 North Street, Kennebunkport, Maine, where Linda was an active member.
