Lena Delmore
October 10, 1913 — July 3, 2007
Southbridge/Douglas: Lena (DiGregorio) Byman-Delmore, 93, of Charles Street, Douglas formerly of Southbridge, died, Tuesday, July 3rd at Lydia Taft House in Uxbridge. Her husband Jessie Delmore died in 1996. She leaves two daughters Urania Druzbicki and her husband Joseph of Douglas, Loretta Menard of Sturbridge, four brothers Anthony DiGregorio and his wife Betty of Southbridge, Frank DiGregorio and his wife Alice of Southbridge, Albert Presutti and his wife Louise of Sturbridge, William Presutti and his wife Nancy of Southbridge, two sisters Ellen Vigilante of Southbridge, Esther Coffee and her husband Mel of Largo, Fl, two grandchildren Melissa Vilandre and Michelle Green. She was predeceased by a son David who died in 2004 and a sister Mary Lachapelle.
She was born in Southbridge the daughter of Luigi and Therese (DiPietro) DiGregorio and lived in the area most of her life.
Mrs. Delmore was a waitress and worked at several area establishments including Sofâ??s, Quinebaug Drive-In, Lidoâ??s and Romaâ??s. She was a member of the Douglas Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses for the last two years and a member of the Southbridge Congregation West for approximately 50 years. She enjoyed her family, ministry, and traveling. She often wrote editorials for the Southbridge News regarding Bible topics.
A memorial talk will take place at 1:30 PM Saturday, July 7 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Worcester Street, Southbridge.
