Southbridge: Kenneth I Norman, 74, of Franklin St, Passed away after a short illness in Harrington Memorial Hospital.
Kenneth is survived by his Fiancé: Margaret “Peggy” Lafreniere; His son, Kenneth S Norman and his wife, Barbara: 2 Sons: Kenneth Jr and Sean; 1 Daughter: Rebecca, all of Providence, RI. He is also survived by his Brother Lance Norman and his wife Suzanne. Kenneth has many surviving nephews and nieces. Kenneth also has a Sister: Laurie.
Kenneth is predeceased by his brothers: Russell, Daniel & Brian.
Kenneth was born on June 7th, 1947 to the late Milton (Red) Norman and Arlene Cora Fuller in North Attleboro, Ma.
Ken served his country as a Sargent in the Marines in Vietnam as a Howitzer Cannoneer; and after two tours with the Marines, he joined the Navy for one tour. Kenneth was a multiple Purple Heart recipient and was also awarded the Presidential Unit Citation. After serving in the military, Kenneth worked in housing construction almost his entire life.
A graveside service will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA. on Thursday, March 18th at 2pm (sharp).
