Sturbridge: Kathleen (Westwell) Mangold, 90, of Fiske Hill Rd., died Monday, Sept. 17, at Harrington Memorial Hospital. She leaves her husband of 53 years, Wilfred Mangold, three daughters Nancy Gilbert of Sturbridge; Karen Mangold of Worcester; Sylvia Albetski of Enfield, Ct., a sister Yvonne Guardiani of Sarasota, Fl., six grandchildren Holly Gilbert Allen, Alan Gilbert, Michael Albetski, Sue Albetski, Donna Dorman, Sandy Kittle, and 12 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by two brothers, James and Joseph Westwell. She graduated from Becker Jr. College. Mr. & Mrs., Mangold owned and operated Mangold Real Estate in Worcester for many years and she also worked the American Optical Co. She was legally blind from the age of 22. She was a life-time member of the Worcester Horticultural Society. She enjoyed traveling and gardening. She had a keen wit for \"match making\".
Her funeral will be held at 10:00AM, Friday Sept. 21, from the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy St., Southbridge followed with a service at 11:00AM at the Sturbridge Federated Church, at the corner of Maple St. and RT 131. Burial will follow at North Cemetery. Calling hours are 6:00PM to 9:00PM Thursday, Sept. 20th at the funeral home. Flowers may be sent or memorial contributions may be made to the Shriner\'s Hospital for Children, 156 Carew St. Springfield, Ma. 01104 or to the Sturbridge Federated Church, 8 Maple St. Sturbridge, Ma 01566.
