Kandis Miner, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on January 4, 2025, in Sturbridge, Massachusetts. Born on March 10, 1956, in Schenectady, New York, she dedicated her life to serving others, particularly as a retired aide at Guilderland Center Nursing Home Guilderland Center, NY

Kandis was a passionate individual with a wide array of interests. She found joy and fulfillment in crafting, an expensive hobby that showcased her creative talents, including sewing and diamond beading. Additionally, she cherished spending time playing games, a pursuit that brought her great happiness. She attended Mount Pleasant High School before joining the workforce working for DeAmbrose Dry Cleaners in Schenectady, NY.

Her legacy continues through her beloved family. She is survived by her daughter, Kim Vendur and her husband Jamie Sr. of Sturbridge, Massachusetts, her son, Kyle Smart and wife Rhiannon of Sloansville, New York; Stepdaughters, Theresa Miner and her fiance Daryl, Tammy Peck, Victoria Peck and husband Rich, Kari Miner . Kandis took great pride in her grandchildren Bailey and Blake Smart and Jamie Vendur Jr, and several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life.

Kandis is also remembered by her brothers Robert Randolph and his wife Donna; of Lake Luzerne, NY, Ronald Randolph and his wife Lynn; and Donald Randolph and his wife Patricia, all of Sloansville, New York. Kandis was preceded in death by her husbands, Gary Smart and James Miner, as well as her sister, Geraldine Bell. Her strength, creativity, and compassion will be long remembered by all who had the privilege to know her.
